The Handpan is a handmade musical instrument that originated in Switzerland. Called the Hang by its creators, in reference to the “hand” in German-speaking Switzerland, the Handpan has its roots in the Ghatam. It produces melodious, original percussion.
The Rav Vast is a Russian instrument inspired by the Handpan in terms of its shape, the arrangement of its notes and the way we play it. However, its sounds are longer than those of the Handpan and have many harmonics.
Let yourself be seduced by their bewitching sounds and discover their practice through an open-air initiation where no musical or rhythmic notions are required to join us.The introductions will be given by Gaël Robert, an intuitive musician who has been organising discovery workshops and sound journeys, and giving private lessons on these instruments in Ardon, for over 7 years. It’s a great way for him to share his experience, his discoveries and his passion for his sonic companions, which he describes as intuitive instruments.
